Join CENTER creators Shirley Pinkson Mañas and Kenyon Phillips for an in-person workshop with Shamanic Jewelry Designer Lisa Salzer and Vibrational Sound Healer Kory Farzam to deepen our connection to the sacred and cultivate conscious empowerment through mindful adornment and integrated sound therapy.
Meet Lisa Salzer
As multifaceted as the gemstones in her designs, CFDA member Lisa Salzer is the Founder and Creative Director of iconic antique jewelry brand Lulu Frost – and a master of blending tradition with modernity. A lifelong fascination with adornment led her to study Art History at Dartmouth College, where she began sourcing vintage elements and transforming them into wearable pieces during her senior year. Shortly after founding Lulu Frost in NYC, Lisa was awarded Best Accessories Designer by Gen Art and invited to collaborate on collections with J.Crew, West Elm and Bobbi Brown. Her fans include First Lady Michelle Obama, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, and Meryl Streep. Her study of Shamanic practice in Santa Fe with a collective of indigenous peoples inspired her to develop the concept of mindful adornment, which combines jewelry making with guided meditation, channeling and semiology to cultivate conscious empowerment.
Meet Kory Farzam
A longtime practitioner of sound meditation, sacred sound circles and vocal alchemy, Kory Farzam has a multidisciplinary background that includes majoring in Vocal Performance at the Juilliard School of Music, obtaining a BS in Psychology from SUNY New Paltz, receiving her Master attunement in the Usui style of Reiki, and earning her Munay-Ki Rites attunement in Shamanic Studies. Additionally, she is a certified Mindfulness Meditation teacher and integrative energy practitioner who draws from a cross section of modalities to help her clients discover their own limitless healing potential.

Location
A serene and spacious country estate in Mount Kisco, NY, conveniently located one hour outside of NYC.
Getting There
Pending traffic, approximate driving time from NYC is one hour. Metro-North Railroad operates a train from Grand Central to Mount Kisco every 30 minutes. Tickets cost $11-$24 and the journey takes one hour. Driving time from the Mount Kisco train station is five minutes. We encourage you to consider taking the train or ridesharing to and from CENTER to accommodate limited parking on the premises.
Safety
Weather permitting, SACRED SYMBOLS, SACRED SOUNDS will be an indoor and outdoor event. Masks are optional. Certain aspects of the workshop may involve touch. If you are uncomfortable with physical contact, please notify Shirley and Kenyon before or upon arrival.
